Monster Name: Bowands

Occupation: Minions of the renowned and glorious Pale Queen

Weapon of choice: Poisoned darts

Counterspell: Yeah right, like we’d tell you that.

Claim to infamy: Three thousand years ago, the marvelous and majestic Pale Queen and her loyal (and wonderfully evil) minions fought the Army of Light. No monster fought better or harder than us Bowands. As our darts sank into the necks and shoulders of the Army of Light’s soldiers, even the bravest of heroes fled the battlefield in terror.

Mortal enemies: Twelve-year-olds! We were well on our way to winning the battle against the Army of Light—when one of those darn twelve-year-old heroes (the Magnifica, they called themselves) shouted out, “Marf ag chell!” in the magic Vargran tongue, and turned our darts to bread crumbs right before our eyes!

Last words (ahem, threats): Watch your back, Magnificent Twelve. Three thousand years might have passed, but we don’t forget . . . and we don’t forgive.
