Paddy “Nine Iron” Trout

As a very (very, VERY) old member of the Nafia, Paddy “Nine Iron” Trout is sent to Richard Gere Middle School to attack Mack MacAvoy in the boys’ room. Unfortunately, Nine Iron’s seen better days. He might dress spectacularly—in green slacks, a green blazer, a green vest, and a green derby hat (he loves his green)—but his eyes are rheumy, his hands are arthritic, and he needs an oxygen mask to breath. Of course, that doesn’t stop him from drawing a sword out of his walking stick. And when he threatens Mack, Mack gets a glimpse of the frightening evil man he must have been—some seventy years ago. But now, he’s just plain old. One thing Nine Iron still can do is deliver a threat, though. And according to him, death is coming Mack’s way . . . and it’s going to hurt.
